Emergency Management Planning

Each year schools are required to develop plans and actions around safety on site in an emergency. We regularly conduct drills and practice scenarios with our students so that they are aware of what might happen if we were ever faced with an emergency situation.
Emergency Management Plan 2019-2020

As a 'Bushfire Risk' registered school we are aware that the Summer months bring with them extra threat to our community.
The Department have several guidelines that are enacted during extreme fire danger days, including calling a CODE RED closure of schools in 'at risk areas.' Last month this occurred for schools in the Bendigo and Mallee areas. The decision to close a school, on extreme risk days, is made 24 hours before the day. This will be communicated to families and not changed regardless of any changes to the forecast. PLEASE make sure your skoolbag app is working as this is our very first communication measure in an emergency situation. (If you are having trouble with the app, Tabatha can help out)
