We have been busy little beavers in grade 4/5/6 over the term. We have nearly completed all our testing for the term and it’s great to see a great amount of growth from over the year we have had.
Remembrance Day this year was held a little bit different due to Covid-19. We read the picture story book Alfred, it gave us information on the significance of this event and how soldiers felt post war. This allowed students to really bring alive their story writing and poems. This week we also celebrated NAIDOC week by completing a class display. I look forward sharing it all with you in the next newsletter as we are still doing some final details.
Last week we had Hannah in to help keep us on track to ensure our movies are ready for us to share with you all. We got to play with the green screen and all different animation over the two days. Our stories are coming together really well. It’s been great to see students think outside of the box and work with the materials they have. For instance Cooper was dressed by the grade 4 students using a lot of safety pins to hold the material together!
Next week we move onto area and perimeter, openers in our writing, the ow sound and ensuring we are decoding words correctly that are unfamiliar with us.
Assembly- 2.20pm Friday over Webex.
